Slowly and steadily, with utmost care
She picked the box that was left for her to care
She brought it in and placed it
On the old mahogany table
The red wrapping and the bow on top
The card read the name, that was still under wraps
With trembling fingers she untied the bow,
The wrapping pulled away for the surprise to show.
She open the lid and found what’s in
She unwrapped slowly, what was the most delicate dream.
Deep in slumber, cozily tucked, slept a story
Untold, undisturbed.
She stroked it slow, as delicately as she could,
Waiting for it to read the new chapter it would.
The pages then turned slow,
The emotions, the words, the plot went in flow.
The happiness dripped with every tear that rained
For the chapters read stories of her to be reign
