some little things got left out, and a little means a lot

Anna was very excited, her father had got her a new set of lego, a big box with a beautiful big picture of the constructed piece adorning its front. she was delighted, never had she seen such a complex piece of work, happy that she was finally being treated as a big kid she was unable to contain her curiosity. she was all ready to start constructing the lego piece, she had the finished product pic in front of her and that’s all she needed to assemble the part, a mere pictorial representation.

she had done that before many times with the giant lego blocks she had. her mother had praised her in front of every small and big individual for her ability to construct lego structures from the blocks and bricks that she owned. now she was so confident that she just wanted to take a clue and start with it.

when she opened the box, it was more than she could take. there were different bags with number of minute bricks and connectors, some had coloured bricks others were grey, she had seen the pic she knew how to stack them on one another and create the structure. every bag also had a book that gave the instruction of how the bricks were to be stacked and how the structure would look at the end of the steps. but she wasn’t interested in that, after all her mother would never be wrong, she had always said that anna could always do a better job than the pics in the paper which came with the giant lego bricks. just a little imagination is all it took

so anna started to make the structure, soon the minutes turned hours and anna had completed the structure just as they had shown on the box, exactly like it appeared on the box. and then she wondered why were so many bricks sent when the actual requirement was so less, she wondered where the small little things that had got left out would go. the two dimensional structure of lego was not steady so she leaned it against the wall and walked out to search her mom.
